Take Time Out In Tenerife
It’s become a bit of a thing for me now that getting out of the UK in November is what I need to be able to survive the cold, wet and grey days of Winter in London. If you’re a summer baby too, keep reading as I’m about to change your perception of Tenerife, grab a cup of tea, give me 5 minutes of your time and let me know what you think at the end of this post, (no pressure now hey)!
The Canary Islands is 4 and a half hours from the UK and in November has temperatures of around 28 degrees celsius in the day and in an evening a lowest of 18 degrees celsius, making it the perfect destination to hop over to for a fresh dose of vitamin D (Have I got you so far?) .
Top hotel on the island: Ritz Carlton Abama, a paradise of palm trees surrounding an exquisite pink luxury hotel building. With views overlooking the sea, the mountains and infinity pool. The Abama residence is like its own village, with a selection of restaurants and shops, a choice of pools, golf course and even a beach. There is no need to even leave the complex during your stay.
The rooms: There are a variety of rooms in the main hotel, with amazing views, on a clear day seeing the island closest to Tenerife in the distance. Or if you’re a family travelling, there are options to stay in one of the villas, these come with a private pool that only guests staying on that row of villas can use. Some of these villas even back on to the pool, making it easy to roll out of bed on to a sun lounger.
The restaurants: Ritz Aabma has a Michellin star restaurant, Kabuki, which is most definitely worth a dine! Other restaurants include an Italian, a grill, seafood with views over the cliff top, and traditional Spanish cuisine.
How could you go wrong with staying here right?!
Spa: With indoor jet pools, steam, sauna and plunge pool the spa offers an array of treatments to make your time there just perfect!
Beach: Take the steps (it’s a long way down) or take the cable car, down the cliff top, take in the magnificent views and enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar before jumping off one of the cliffs into the clear blue ocean.
Are you looking at flights? I bet you are ;)
The Ritz Carlton Abama is only a 30 minute drive from the airport, 20 minutes from the popular Costa Adeje for all your typical tourist amenities, water parks, trinket shops etc. Like I said above, Tenerife is the perfect spot for a get away, as friends or as a family!
As always, if you have any questions regarding travel, Tenerife or anything I have mentioned above, please feel free to reach out.
Have a good day,
Alex x
