UK Staycation in Brighton

As much as I love living in London, it’s definitely nice to escape the fast paced lifestyle every now and again and within a 52 minute train ride you can be in beautiful Brighton. Being by a sea front, amusement arcades and the smell of fish and chips will aways be a firm reminder of my childhood and the feeling of home, which is why this little sea side town is one of my favourites in the UK to visit, not to mention Brighton has an abundance of coloured streets to feast your eyes on.

Tucked away in the back streets you’ll fine various different juice bars, cake and coffee shops, restaurants and vintage and trinket stores to rummage through. The best thing though would be The Treatments Rooms, a haven of tranquility just off the high street, offering a variety of beauty treatments. When my bestie (@imlaurenblack) and were offered a Press Staycation to Brighton we wanted it to be our time to completely chill out and relax. We chose to have a hot stone massage at The Treatment Rooms in Brighton and OH EM GEE, it was the best massage I have ever had. I turned up with so much tension in my neck and back and left feeling completely free of all stress and tension. A full body hot stone massage, for those who have never had one is the most relaxing treatment I think you could go for, it is basically what it says on the tin, a hot stone massage uses smooth, flat, and heated rocks placed at key points on the body to relieve stress and tension.  Shout out to Hannah, who carried out my treatment, she was absolutely amazing, we chatted in-between relaxation moments and she did the best job on the knots in my neck. I could have stayed cocooned up in blankets on the massage table for hours with Hannah. Following the massage we were then taken into the relaxation parlour to relax some more, on a chaise lounge surrounded by tea lights and a cup of tea in hand. The Treatment Rooms offer a variety of beauty services and beauty products and is definitely worth a visit.

Now for where to stay… we stayed in The Boardwalk Appartments Brighton, a block of new build apartments over looking the Brighton Marina, the cliffs and the sea. It’s exactly how you would imagine an apartment to be too, loads of space, 2 bedrooms (1 with an ensuite), lounge / kitchen, balcony and a walk in wash room with iron board, washing machine, etc etc.. basically it has everything you would need on a little staycation on the coast.

Just a 30 second walk away from the apartments there are a row of restaurants so getting food is easy, because the apartments are self catering, or if you fancy you can grab a taxi into Brighton City Centre in 10 minutes. I actually think this would make the perfect staycation destination and accommodation for a summer get together with a few friends or even a boyfriend/girlfriend.

You can book through this link booking.com, prices range from £100 - £400+ depending of course how long you are planning to stay and how many of you there are. The Boardwalk Apartments have a security desk where you collect and drop the keys to for the apartment, making it super easy on arrival and departure. Complimentary coffee & tea is available as well as bathroom essentials such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. WiFi is fitted in all the apartments, the biggest necessity of them all hey, so no fear there! It was such a dreamy 1 night stay and exactly what we needed.

So if you haven’t been to Brighton, I hope this will inspire you to go :)

Lots of love,

Alex x
